It was a lovely week away from all the everyday stresses of life etc and although the first day was torrential rain we had decent weather for the rest of the week. Alex loved watching the character shows, in particular the Thomas and Friends show and the Mike the Knight show.
The fountains next to the swimming pool were a big hit too. They dance to music and
light up at night. They are great fun and you can run in them too which is also great fun. Alex absolutely loved them.
We loved all of the nature around us. The rabbits were so cute and if you were very quiet you could get really close to them. I loved the different kinds of birds that came by the apartments and Alex loved to feed the ducks. He made friends with five of them who flew out of the pond and followed him for the bread. It was so cute.
Mark and Alex loved playing air hockey together in the arcades. Alex wasn't so keen on the fairground but did like playing with his trains. Alex loved spending time with his grandparents and Aunty Sophie.
We had a lovely week and really love going to Butlins each year. It is a great place to go with Alex as there is so much to keep him entertained.
